Ladram Bay Holiday Park

Ladram Road, Otterton, Budleigh Salterton EX9 7BX, UK – 01395 568398

Went to Ladram Bay for 6 nights in September, camping pitches are on a series of ledges so everyone gets a sea view, pitches are flat with grass and a gravel road in front for car access. Two sets of toilet blocks less than 2 minutes walk from pitches, 1 which was a modern block, we used both blocks and preferred the older ones due to how powerful the showers were, both blocks have touch screen shower controls with the new block having touch screen heating controls. Both blocks were spotlessly clean all the times we went no matter what time day or night and were both well stocked. Fish & chip shop was only open 5pm-9pm as off peak season but food was excellent quality and reasonably priced. Another plus point is the excellent swimming pool 20-25 metres long by 8-10 metres wide with a separate toddlers area with a small slide, complex also includes a sauna, steam room, jacuzzi and a gym. The site is situated on the South West coastal path and has stunning views of the coast towards Sidmouth (3-4 miles) and Budleigh Salterton (4-5 miles). We didn't use the beach facilities due to the time of the year but again a stunning setting if you get the weather.

Just got back yesterday from Ladram bay, had a really great time. Lots of things for kids to do. All staff were very polite and helpful. Restaurant was very reasonable. Dog friendly site. Great facilities. Site kept cleaned. Dropped caravan in car-park and staff will take it to your pitch. Great idea Will definitely be back!

Brook Gallery

Fore St, Budleigh Salterton EX9 6NH, UK – 01395 443003

We often visit Brook Gallery on our trips to Devon and have always been really impressed with the collections. Our particular favourite was the recent exhibition 'Circle of Life' which included work by Damien Hirst - the pieces were great and it's refreshing to see something different in a local gallery, especially by such a well known artist. Definitely worth a visit!

The Brook Gallery has a fabulous array of beautiful and stunning limited edition, fine art prints that will capture the imagination of anyone that visits. The gallery hosts a permanent and contemporary collection both are an inspiration and a pleasure to work with.
